Shout out to PC Home Team "Na-Me" for their 1st place performance in the PC Staff Handbook Challenge. They successfully answered 6 handbook-related questions and completed 6 physical challenges (in a very timely fashion).

Coaches Deja (left) and Madison (right) had the oppurtunity to attend Smith College's Science & Engineering Summer Program. Madison and Deja say their summer of science and engineering at Smith has been a transformative experience. 
The Project Coach Summer Program at Gerena Elementary School has been a huge hit so far! The program runs Monday through Friday from 8:45 - 12:15.  Our kids and coaches have played sports, made beautiful art, and learned many new dances.  We look forward to the coming weeks of the program!
The Mobile Foodbank is back this Friday at 443 Plainfield St. in Springfield from 2 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. Project Coach has provided reusable bags that will be handed out stuffed with fresh food for all who attend! 
Brightwood gym teacher, Christian Dalessio, along with volunteers from the student's families, Springfield high schools, and Project Coach created a fun-filled, wet and wild Field Day at Brightwood School.

Marquis Taylor is using what he learned during his time at Project Coach.  His organization, Coaching 4 Change, was just featured on  Way to go, Marquis!
PC coach, Kalany Figueroa, was recognized for her outstanding academic acheivement by the Mass Latino Chamber of Commerce at Fenway Park.  Congratulations, Kalany!
Marquis Taylor, former PC graduate fellow, started his own after-school sports program called Coaching 4 Change in 2010.  It's going strong and changing lives!

By day our friends at StubHub in East Granby, CT sell tickets to the greatest shows on earth. By night they fundraise for dozens of non-profits (Project Coach, for one) with various fun--sometimes zany--events. Autism Awareness is the guest of honor this Sunday at City Steam Brewery. Cheers! to our StubHub partners for raising hope for communities in need.

We want our coaches to BE TRUE to themsleves. Thank you for being a wonderful example!

PC's  Awesome Coaches!
Coach Armando Olivares led a group of 20 volunteers from Project Coach, the Ramon Baez Dance Company, and the Mass Latino Chamber of Commerce to launch the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts' North End mobile site. The volunteers distributed nutritious groceries to 140 Springfield North End families.  The Mobile Food Bank returns on May 16th from 2 pm - 2:45 pm at 443 Plainfield St. in Springfield. 
Congratulations to Kadeja, one of our straight A students! Special thanks to her Smith tutor, Charlotte, on helping her get there!

MADISON'S DREAM HAS COME TRUE! More than 150 donors -- many from Smith -- raised $5000 to send Madison to the Smith College Summer Science & Engineering Program.
